KURA KURA WAS ORIGINALLY BUILT AS A FAMILY HOUSE
The original rooms of the family house are old Java style houses with modern amenities. The three new rooms are built in the same style. The family house was our starting place to build. So each room is different and has its own uniqueness. As part of the Kura Kura Mandala they have their own name and sacred symbols.
The yoga shala is the Centre next to the small pool to dip in. The rooms are built around it and are clean and fresh as the breeze you can feel from the sea, but protected and safe as the shield of a Kura Kura (Turtle).
All rooms are based on elegant simplicity and live up to Western standards. They have it’s own bathroom, shower (warm/cold water), Western toilet, comfortable beds, mosquito nets, fan and veranda.
They are suitable for sharing with someone you know or someone new. Kura Kura is a place when traveling alone you can meet people and feel at home.
At the top you see a picture of the room we always called “The river house”. As Kura Kura is situated along a small river and just a few steps away from the sea.
